Dr Margret Schuller

Margret has been immersed in the field of biological science for many years, making significant contributions. She's published numerous research papers in both life science and business, and even took on the role of editor for the collaborative textbook "PCR in Clinical Microbiology: An Australian and International Perspective" (Springer, 2010).


Some time ago, she made a shift to the Diagnostic's IVD industry before venturing out on her own with "Profitable Business Development." Her focus areas include business development, demand marketing, market analysis, corporate image, brand strength, and knowledge management. Interestingly, her company has recently expanded into corporate events photography.


On the academic front, Margret completed her MBA in 2001. Her PhD delved into the world of tacit knowledge transfer, exploring how knowledge flows from globally dispersed subsidiaries to the parent company in a multinational organisation.

Silvio Tiziani

Silvio Tiziani, MBA, GAICD, is the CEO of CCRM Australia, leading efforts to bridge the gap between research and industry in regenerative medicine. With extensive experience across academia, health, and industry, he has successfully developed strategic partnerships, secured funding, and driven commercialisation initiatives. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Monash University’s Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute and the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, where he managed major operational, policy, and strategic developments. Silvio holds a Master of Business Administration from Monash University and a Bachelor of Science from Swinburne University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Catherine McDonald

Throughout her career, Catherine has been known for her exceptional problem-solving skills and her ability to adapt to rapidly changing business dynamics. Her dedication to ensuring that all aspects of the office run smoothly and efficiently makes her an indispensable member of the UNSW RNA Institute. With a constant drive for improvement and a commitment to excellence, Catherine sets a high standard for office administrators everywhere.

Marjorie Fox-Owens

Marjorie is a dedicated marketing thinker who has a passion for all things marketing. She has in-depth knowledge and over 20 years experience within the higher education sector. Marjorie’s specialties include branding and identity, creative marketing, communications and events. Marjorie is responsible for implementing UNSW RNA Institute’s marketing strategies, managing its outreach activities, and developing and maintaining relationships with potential customers, contacts and stakeholders in government, industry, academia and the community. She plays a valuable part in cultivating UNSW RNA Institute’s profile and reputation in the emerging RNA ecosystem. 


Chih Wei Teng

Chih Wei is the Vice President of Corporate Development at CCRM Australia, responsible for the development and operationalisation of CCRM Australia’s 5 Year strategy. In addition to his administrative role, Chih Wei actively works with biotechnology companies and academics to translate their innovation. In addition, Chih Wei is responsible for a think tank within CCRM that conducts research and delivers intelligence on social, commercial and other forces that would affect the diffusion of novel cell and gene therapies into the healthcare sector.


Chih Wei has completed a doctoral degree, researching how the translation of regenerative medicine can be improved with open collaborative innovation. His research showed that interdisciplinary collaboration result in new capabilities that not only improve translation outcomes but also support the development of competitive business models. Dr Rachel Shparberg

Rachel Shparberg is the current Chairperson of the NSW Stem Cell Network. Rachel completed her PhD at The University of Sydney in 2018; her research focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying mammalian nervous system development using mouse embryonic stem cells. During her PhD, Rachel worked as the part-time Manager of The NSW Stem Cell Network (2015), and following the completion of her PhD, she worked as a Research Scientist at Western Sydney University where she used human pluripotent stem cells to understand lens development, disease and regeneration. Rachel has previous worked as a medical writer in the pharma and medical affairs industry, and as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sydney investigating blood vessel regeneration using stem cells. She is currently an Education-focussed Lecturer (Medical Science) at The University of Sydney.
